ok.. so now orientation turned out pretty good.. but still afew hiccups here and there.. i din stay on for nite stuffs.. since i had to go home for dinner.. gastric pains for 2 days.. hmm.. gotta go see doc le..

day 1 orientation we met at school at 6am.. but briefing started around 6.30am?? so late lor.. den ask us come so early i 4plus wake up le.. dun dare to sleep back.. was to be usher for VIPs along with Jia Qi, May, Wen Tao and Sabrina.. wore white shirt and black skirt and when we walked from atrium toilet to audi, all turned and looked at us!!! Ahahahh.. Den kimo whipped out his hp and asked can have our numbers anot.. They said seniors picked us out to be ushers one, and ushers have to be quite presentable.. wow.. i din tink myself to be that.. so quite honoured to be given the task.. but the heels i wore were those i bought in sec2 for choir!!! leg pain leh.. was limping within 15minutes and had to put 2 plaster over the left leg wound as it was cut deep..

frighteningly did the ushering for we din noe who was who with 11 VIPs and 50 over staff.. den wen it was over we changed into ogl tee and joined our respective classes where we headed for lunch.. i had to bring 20 packets of food to block S from the atrium and it was real heavy.. forgot to ask a freshie to help me.. heavy sia...

den began a round of introduction of freshies.. who were super quiet.. espcially the guys.. afew of them bonded la.. n me very noisy tried to get them to talk lor..

den we went on campus tour and next went on to games.. by then we were more or less acquainted with each other as i asked for rounds after rounds of name introduction to play the game concentration.. freshies' day ended at 6pm while ogls had our debrief and went home 8plus.. by the time i settled, bathed and eaten, it was 10..

next day met at 7am.. but reached school all they did was dilly dally.. so long den start briefing.. hmm.. made us wake up so early do nothing.. Den the freshies had maths lesson in the morning.. the lecturer was super hilarious la.. Dunno to be happy or sad that he's so frilovous.. Like never teach anything lidat..

He said now still orientation so dun get so serious.. If that's the case, why schedule a 2 1/2 hr lesson during orientation?? waste of time la.. N he spoiled the OHP machine when he stepped and broke the wire lor.. Still say lucky he found out if not he get electrocuted.. Terrible la..

Den had lunch at Mac.. a disaster lor.. Coz din start going early to confirm the orders and it was such a huge mess up when there were insufficient orders and OGLs were just snatching, yes SNATCHING, up any new fillets brought over from the counter to give the freshies.. Quite a terrible image la.. Wasted alot of time there and for a moment tension was everywhere in the air and I felt very guilty... For snatching fillets for my class.. becoz the cashiers gave wrong number of fillets.. We had ordered more fillets but in the end, still got quite a number of MCChicken left over..

Next was the PC hands on session.. Wai Leng had to go to the dance tingy so let me n Ken but he was BI IC and had to run around collecting money for next day's lunch so in the end, me take care of the class lor.. At blk M the PCs were terrible la.. can't load the SIT page.. for some labs la.. Some are fine.. So I used the handouts to explain the functions and it was quite tedious cause I din know if they wud know the exact thing to do when they finally log in themselves..

If not for the visiting contingency from overseas, lecturers i guess, since they were all quite old.. or maybe is industrial people coming for exchange education trip.. we would be able to use the blk L labs.. our own school.. ahhaha..

Den 3/4 way thru my explanation, Olive asked me to join Terence's class to listen to their explanation since their lab was fine.. So we moved over and listened to TErence speak.. But he was abit of a canon and my freshies wer quite like.. Huh??? So after he finished, gathered them to listen to me while i demoed on a PC.. Save for Rick n Jun Kai who were playing with their fren..

Den went to Blk L lvl 6 for the orientation packages.. they were terrible lor.. all the sizes were big and still said that they had upsized.. No S only M upwards.. waste freshies' money.. Den there was the fire drill.. we started to line up in the basketball court den it started raining lor.. HAiz.. like last year when we were freshies.. Den we went back to play games..

There was the cheer competition and in the end they gave all their might despite being a little soft during the trial.. "Mama shuo bu yao zhuo diu lian de shi"!! ahhaha.. Started by Ming Hui.. coz they din wan to cheer den i said if they were soundless when they cheer den it's diu lian.. AHhhaha.. BI0601 rocks!!!

Left at 8plus to go home.. Popo waiting .. den went to buy freshies' presents.. Din noe wat to buy so got them some smiley face badges hope they'll enjoy life in NYP SIT.. and cards to write some stuff for them.. N for gals, I added a pair of my hand made earrings each.. Stayed up til 12am to finish lor..

Den next morning 8 met in school.. Went to Mac after briefing to prepare all the gidts to be ready.. Coz the cards had to have some words for the freshies by Wai Leng and Ken as well!! more personalised.. den got some pens for the guys and inserted strips of paper bearing their name.. So also abit more special.. AHahha.. Den i ahd to go for the Finale preparation since i was usher..

But i was just watching them rehearse and doing nothing else la.. Waste time that i could spend with my freshies.. hmm.. hahha.. den ater a while we were supposed to go for lunch and be back to change by 11.30am.. me and May went back to join our freshies who were playing games.. den i chatted with them before going back to join JiaQi, WenTao, Sabrina and May to change into our formal wear.. Later when the freshies came into audi for the finale, they were abit shocked to see me in formal wear.. HAhah..

Den stood beside Mr John Tan, our SIT director during Prize Presentation to pass him the prizes for the Rainbow AGogo dance competition.. there were small hitch ups in between la.. but other wise quite fine.. Den changed into OGL tee and jeans before going back to join our classes.. Watched the skit at the top of the audi where OGLs were all supposed to sit.. Whooped and cheered for Granny, a superbly funny character lor.. hahah.. Ehh.. Cramp.. AHahhah... It was really a great time we had..

Den everything ended very early and we brought our class outside the audi into the atrium to settle some class matters, choosing class chairperson and telling them how to meet on Mon n gave them a glimpse of their timetable and give them their gifts.. It was slated to end around 5pm.. but around 4pm most classes had left.. I had gastric pain so left then without staying for debrief and the celebration party afterwards..

After all, it was a great orientation.. although some matters like the dilly dallying and the messy Mac and crazy T shirt stuff that was quite problematic.. N BI0601 is a great class!! More SIT club activities club coming up.. I've joined VoiceOut 06!! Singing competition la.. As USHER again!! coz i wasn't there on Thurs when they discussed what to join and stuff so Senior Bobby just anyhow assign a job for me lor.. Anything la.. just join and meet more frens and enjoy myself!! REally made alot of new frens and had lots of fun!!
