What Hot Food & Big Rain!!!Went to volunteer at Fo Guang Shan in Payar Lebar yesterday.. It's a super small temple centre situated in a office building.. The nuns are raising funds to build a temple here in Singapore as its' origins are in Taiwan... Grandma brought Wan Ling and I there since we are both free... We went out at 9.30am to take taxi...But all the taxis in the world seem oblivious to our waiting and just zoomed past us... Irregardless that there were no passengers in their cabs!!! N we waited for so long and from ave 9, we walked on til ave8 and out into the main road to try for a cab!! It wasn't finally almost 50 minutes since we left home when we finally caught a cab!!! N we were super late coz we were supposed to reach there at 10am!! By the time we entered the centre, it was 10.30!! N the chef, Tian Ma, was hustling about as there was no helpers!!! AFter a while, as it was evident there was only cooking to do for the moment and Grandma and Tain Ma could handle them, Miaoyang master brought us to help in the office... I was just starting when it was lunchtime... Their lunch is at 11.30am!! As such, it is a rush to reach the centre at 10am and start preparing the food... There were only 4 nuns here and volunteers ate together with them at the same temple... The food of the day was Vegetarian Mee Robus.... I dunno how to spell lah... But it was super hot!!! N I was gasping and gasping while the rest of the nuns and volunteers at the table were feasting on the food!! Finally, Tian Ma said I could take a piece of pear to cool my tongue first... It felt alot much better... But still, I struggled to finish the food... Finally, Grandma came to my rescue and finished it for me whle I escaped to drown myself in water!! Phew!!! After lunch, I started on the assigned work... I was supposed to type the names and contact numbers of the devotees who take up Buddhist classes into the computer system... We finally left at around 1.30pm... But at we walked, the drizzle seemed to grow bigger and bigger and by the time we crossed the overhead bridge to the opposite side of the road, our jeans were dripping wet... I had a flash about the time in Sec 4 when we went to the School performance and got drenched too with him.... At the busstop, I saw a TJC gal.... N again thought of him... Haiz.... By the time we got back to Hougang, it was no longer raining... In fact, it seemed like it hadn't rained at all... But the aircon in the bus made me shiver in cold as my cold wet jeans clung to my leg... Reached home and dried rinsed ourselves... Den we had some food as we were all a little hungry....Today morning, I got a call from The Music Clinic saying I had won a $50 voucher fromteh SMS contest!! Sometime ago, there was a ad about The Music Clinic that they were holding Vocal seminars and there was a contest to win vouchers.. It seemed interesting and I always had a small dream to be a pop star!! Hahahahahha!! Ok... Just a dream... Dun guffaw at me k... I know my singing's not that dreamy.. My siblings always say that.... So happy though that I had won the voucher!! It's the second time I won this sort of contest... Last year, there was a Morgan Perfume launch, supported by Teenage Magazine and Seiyu Bugis.... Mum bought a bottle for me and I had also joined the Teenage contest lucky draw to win a set of Couple's Morgan fragrances... N I was one of 5 lucky winners!!!! AHhahaha!!! These are the small little things that make me so excited!!! Coz I feel so lucky... But my family don't share my happiness about them.... Coz it's a bit silly.... But I wish he's there to be happy with me too.... Ok... Friends too... I know Janell muz be thinking... "Not again of ur silliness!!! Told you we'll go Hunk-watch when you come to NYP liao!!!" Hahahahha.!!! Right Janell??? Hahhahahaha!!!
