Haiyo..... Really hopeless
Went to Bead Hub and Phoon Huat yesterday.... Actually dun really know where's Beadhub..... N to make things worse I din bring the map as well!!!! So I dunno where I should be walking from after walking out from Orchard MRT station... I only remembered that it's near Peranakan Place and Specialist shopping centre...
But all I could see is only Wisma Atria... Turned circles for 5 min before deciding to take a cab.... So it wasn't too far after all... But it was quite a quiet road to Bead Hub... Like in a row of houses.... I wished i had someone's company... Later osmething bad happened also no one know... Coz I only told my mum I was going to Phoon Huat which was near home... N no one would have thought that I would go to Bead Hub alone... I was wondering whether am I in the right place when I found the place...
We needed to enter through a door which was guarded by members-only password... Or there was a enter-key visitors could enter to get in... So I apprehensively entered... It was quite dimly-lit to create atmosphere.. N den there were lots of selections of beads.... N quite expensively priced too... It's like it caters to high-end people.... Nevertheless, I managed to choose some stuff...
Only when i paid for my stuff den I saw the brochures that said there was a store-wide 50% clearance sale... So I could have bought more stuff... I also applied for membership.... Den I left... TO think it was only opposite Specialist shopping centre where we are supposed to walk through a cafe beside Robinsons into Emerald Hill Road... Haiz..... Sua Ku to the extreme....
Den took 7 back to Bugis Village... Den walked thru the pasar malam... N walked to Burlington Square den walked on further before I reached my second destination!!! Phoon Huat!!!! Ah...... Relief flooded through me... Finally.... My legs were blistering from the walks... There was a wider selection in here den in Hougang Mall's store...
Got my supplies and paid and left with 2 big bags.... Wah!! Really heavy... N I had to walk all the way home... Was super tired by the time I reached Rochor street and decided to call Chern Yue down to help me take my stuff.... Walked on slowly with a slight limp and finally he came to meet me at the bridge and helped me carry my stuff home...
At night Chern Yue developed a fever..... N Jeffrey had just recovered 2 days ago from a persistent fever from Friday to Wednesday... N had 3 MCs!!! Haha... He's so proud of that fact... Silly boy... Thankfully, he recovered after going to Tee Hoe... chinese sinseh.... But now Chern Yue's down with it...
Anyway, very excited, I started on making Custard Dream Stars after dinner.... At first I was a big mess... Very careless and spilled flour all over.... N den added the wrong ingredients... But i had already mixed them so just had to get on with it... Den continued my quest to making the stars... But the nozzle for the piping bag was wrong as I din have the star nozzle... so I just used the nozzles I have and piped the dough onto the baking paper... Decorated with the orange and strawberry bakery bits and chocolate chips... It turned out quite nice!!! Heehee... Not too bad for my first attempt of this new recipe lah.. Going to try out others soon.... Heehee... Excited...
