One of my aunt's mother-in-law had a mild stroke and was hospitalised.. My cousin, Justin, was also hospitalised becoz he was vomiting evrything he'd eaten and complaining of headaches and had a high fever.. He had knocked his head in school 2 weeks ago and my aunt was afriad he had a concussion.. The doctor hospitalised him for observation.. It seems that by evening time he was much better n cud eat n wasn't vomiting aready.. So most probably discharged today.. His sister, Valerie, was down with high fever too so this week i wun be tuitioning them this week..
Yesterday nite watched Channel U's variety show @ 8pm.. I dunno the name.. It was very interesting.. Cynthia Lee was sent on a mission to India to learn a Indian dance as she was very interested in Indian culture and music.. The instructor din care if she was a big shot in Singapore anot and just made her wait n wait furtilely for the 1st day..
Den, it turned out that there was actually a big dance event coming up in 3 days and the instructor n his students were performing in it. He decided to let Cynthia perform in the last item to dance for 10s on stage with the rest of the performers.. Yet, all the instructor did was train his students n din really care about Cynthia.. He made her wait and wait yet learnt nth 4 abt 2 days..
She was abit of a fuming n resolved to learn sth so the instructor asked her to watch her senoirs dance n dance along with them without teaching her any basics!! She was a fast learner n learnt some moves very quickly.. Den the instructor had to go out but went off for the rest of hte day.. Meanwhile, Cynthia mingled around with the rest of the class.. I admired her socialising skills n how they cud converse so well with each other..
Throughout the show she was panicky most of the time as the instructor did not teach her concretely about her performance item!! Finally, the nite before the performance, he spent an hour teaching her. She danced very well during the actual performance and the audience was very interested that there was actually a Chinese in the midst of their performance!! Thumbs up Cynthia!
Cynthia also met Elizabeth, a senior in her class and formed a strong bond with her as she was the only one Cynthia cud turn to(being a gal, easy 2 tok 2). Cynthia was invited to Elizabeth's home for lunch n Elizabeth proudly showed off her saris(they are a lady's pride). She even gave her a necklace n CYnthia was so touched she cried!
After lunch, they went to the dancing school where the instructor gave Cynthia an hour to learn up a 5-min dance to perform in front of her senoirs as she felt her performance wasn't too wonderful.. Before the show, i wasn't exactly to fond of her. But now, i admire her guts and personality n the effort she put in to make her task a success, although she was made to wait n wait n wait so much! N she din even throw a tanthrum! I believe i wun be as patient n determined n so up to the challenge if i was the one.. =>
